TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

Our Terms of Business will apply to your booking. We believe that our Terms of Business are fair and clear. Please read them carefully.

 

BOOKING

A deposit at the time of booking is required (see individual tours for deposit amount) and is payable by Cheque or Direct Bank Transfer (Details can be found on PAYMENTS page of this website). Cheques to be made payable to Global Motorcycle Tours Ltd. Global Motorcycle Tours Ltd will confirm your booking by email on receipt of a deposit and completed Booking Form. By signing and returning the booking form and deposit it is agreed that you are accepting Global Motorcycle Tours Ltd terms and conditions. Note that all deposits are non refundable and non transferable and therefore Global Motorcycle Tours strongly recommends that you take out adequate travel insurance at time of booking in order to cover any eventuality such as tour cancellation.

 

PAYMENT OF BALANCE

On receipt of a completed booking form and deposit, Global Motorcycle Tours Ltd will send you an email confirmation which contains details of your reservation and the ‘TOUR FINAL PAYMENT DATE’. The tour must be paid in full no later than 70 days before date of travel or your reservation will be cancelled with full loss of monies paid to that point. Payment can be made by cheque or direct bank transfer (contact 01257 410686 for details). Bookings made 70 days or less before departure will be accepted only with full payment or by prior agreement. Only those who have paid in full will be allowed to take part in the tour. On receipt of final balance Global Motorcycle Tours will send by email full details of your tour.

 

PROTECTION OF YOUR MONEY

The 1992 Package Travel, Package Holiday and Package Tours Regulations require all holiday organizers to make provision for the protection of clients’ money in the event of the company’s insolvency. In accordance with the regulations Global Motorcycle Tours Ltd will hold all clients’ money in a trust account until such time as your tour is completed.

 

INSURANCE

On all tours it is a condition of booking that you will organise adequate breakdown and recovery insurance which must include repatriation of yourself, passenger and your motorcycle. Global Motorcycle Tours strongly recommends that you take out adequate medical/travel insurance at time of booking in order to cover any eventuality such as personal or family illness and tour cancellation. Note that the European Health Insurance Card will not be valid after the 31st December 2020.

 

IF GLOBAL MOTORCYCLE TOURS LTD CHANGES YOU’RE BOOKING

It is sometimes necessary or unavoidable to change your booking. In the case of any major alteration Global Motorcycle Tours Ltd will notify you as soon as possible before your departure date. In the event of a significant change you may, continue with the tour, accept an alternative tour or if you decide to cancel your booking then subject to Global Motorcycle Tours cancellation fees all monies paid will be refunded. Global Motorcycle Tours Ltd cannot be held liable for any compensation or expenses arising from the change in your booking. Once the tour has commenced Global Motorcycle Tours Ltd reserves the right to alter routes and accommodation at short notice due to circumstances beyond our control. In this situation Global Motorcycle Tours Ltd will notify you as soon as possible. Where accommodation has to be changed Global Motorcycle Tours Ltd will provide accommodation of at least the same standard.

 

IF GLOBAL MOTORCYCLE TOURS LTD CANCELS YOU’RE BOOKING

Global Motorcycle Tours Ltd reserves the right, in any circumstances, to cancel your booking and will notify you as soon as possible before your departure date and will at this time refund all monies paid.

 

In the event that Global Motorcycle Tours cancel your tour due to circumstances beyond our control, ie “Force Majeure” events - which include, but are not limited to, war, threat of war, terrorist activity, natural disasters, industrial action, Coronavirus or similar pandemics then no deposit payments will be refunded or compensation payments made. Global Motorcycle Tours will if possible endeavour to transfer your booking and any monies paid to a suitable alternative tour. Global Motorcycle Tours strongly recommends that you take out adequate travel insurance at time of booking in order to cover any eventuality such as tour cancellation.

 

DELAYS IN THE JOURNEY

In the event of extended delays, Global Motorcycle Tours Ltd will endeavour to secure an alternative crossing. Global Motorcycle Tours Ltd cannot be held responsible for any unforeseen delays caused by: war, civil unrest, industrial action, blockades, Coronavirus or similar pandemics, failure of hoteliers, ferry operators or other suppliers. Global Motorcycle Tours Ltd cannot be held liable for any compensation or expenses arising from the delay in your tour. In the case of any delays you are responsible for providing your own meals and additional accommodation.

 

PASSPORT AND VISA REQUIREMENTS

A valid UK passport valued for a minimum six months after your return is required for visiting most EC countries. If you or your passenger holds any other passport a visa may be required and you should contact the appropriate office before travelling. Tour members who cancel or cannot participate in any tour due to appropriate documentation not being obtained shall remain liable for full payment of the cost of the tour subject to your rights of cancellation set out in these terms.

 

TOUR MEMBER RESPONSIBILITY

Participation in any tour is entirely at your own risk. Riders are responsible for their own machines including mechanical or accident repairs. Riders are also responsible at all times for any passengers/pillion travelling with them. Any accident, bodily injury, illness or death to rider or pillion during your tour is not the responsibility of Global Motorcycle Tours Ltd.

When booking a tour Global Motorcycle Tours assumes that the participant (and pillion if applicable) will have read the tour Itinerary and will be fully aware of the route, destinations and the approximate mileages for each day. It is the responsibility of the customer to access their own ability and stamina and to have made the judgement that it is an appropriate tour for them to undertake. Riders are responsible for their own navigation and arrival at the hotels as per the tour itinerary. If you wish to change the itinerary once the tour has started e.g. change of hotel or add on extra nights then this is entirely your own undertaking as are any additional charges incurred.


LEAVING A TOUR

If for any reason a participant decides to leave the tour before the end they will not be refunded or compensated. Furthermore Global Motorcycle Tours Ltd will not be responsible for any associated cost incurred.


TOUR PRICE

The tour price will not be subject to a surcharge save that resulting from Government action affecting transportation cost and/or currency fluctuations. Such circumstances are beyond our control and as such may dictate an increase in the cost of the tour. Any increase less than 2% will be absorbed within the original published price. Global Motorcycle Tours reserves the right to introduce a proportionate surcharge for increases larger than this. Failure to pay an increase may result in the cancellation of your booking with no refund. If as a result of the surcharge the increase is more than 10% of the stated tour price you will be given the option to cancel your booking and receive a full refund.

 

CANCELLATION FEES

If you cancel your booking following confirmation, Global Motorcycle Tours Ltd reserve the right to withhold the deposit/tour payment in part for costs incurred.

 

More than 70 days before departure:       Loss of deposit

69 – 30 days              50% of tour

29 – 16 days               75% of tour

Less than 15 days before departure       No Refund


If you cancel due to a disinclination to travel, failure to have the necessary vaccinations, failure to have a negative PCR test (or other acceptable test) then your tour will be subject to the cancellation charges set out above.

TRANSFER OF BOOKING

If you are prevented from travelling for any reason you may transfer the booking to another person providing a minimum of 2 weeks notice is given.

 

CHANGE OF BOOKING

All amendments to the original booking (other than change of personal or motorcycle details) will at the discretion of Global Motorcycle Tours be subject to a £50 (per bike) administration charge plus any additional charges incurred.

 

GLOBAL MOTORCYCLE TOURS LTD RESPONSIBILITIES

Global Motorcycle Tours Ltd makes every effort to ensure that the suppliers of the services which you will receive during your tour are efficient, reliable and reputable. Global Motorcycle Tours cannot be held responsible for any part of the tour which due to outside influences does not meet the standard described in the tour itinerary (e.g. hotel lifts, swimming pools, etc) these amenities being unavailable due to service, repair, weather conditions etc.
